Terms of Service

These connector-specific terms apply when your firm connects 4Degrees to an external AI client. They sit alongside the master 4Degrees Terms of Service that govern your underlying platform use.

1. Scope and acceptance #

These connector-specific Terms of Service (“Connector Terms”) apply when your firm uses the 4Degrees AI Connector to access 4Degrees data from any AI assistant — including Anthropic’s Claude (via the Claude Connector Directory) and OpenAI’s ChatGPT (via the ChatGPT App Directory). By connecting an AI assistant to your 4Degrees account, you accept these Connector Terms in addition to our master 4Degrees Terms of Service, which continue to govern your underlying use of the 4Degrees platform.

If there is a conflict between the master Terms and these Connector Terms, the master Terms control.

2. License grant #

Subject to your continued compliance with these Connector Terms, the master Terms, and our connector Privacy Policy, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Authorize one or more AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-compatible client) to access your firm’s 4Degrees data via the connector’s MCP endpoint;
• Use the connector’s tools (discover, query, compare) for your firm’s internal business purposes within the rate and result-size limits we publish.

The connector is read-only. No write or destructive operations are exposed.

3. Acceptable use #

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access data belonging to firms other than the one tied to your authenticated user;
• Bypass or interfere with rate limits, audit logging, the Origin allowlist, or other technical safeguards;
• Use the connector to scrape, mirror, or wholesale-export 4Degrees data outside ordinary conversational use with an AI assistant;
• Reverse engineer, probe, or otherwise attempt to discover undocumented endpoints, internal token formats, or other firms’ tokens;
• Use the connector in violation of applicable law, the master 4Degrees Terms, Anthropic’s Usage Policies, or OpenAI’s Usage Policies (whichever apply to the AI assistant you are using).

4. AI-generated output #

Claude, ChatGPT, and any other AI assistant you use with this connector are third-party services operated by their respective providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and others). The accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of any answer the assistant renders using data from the connector is not guaranteed. Your team is responsible for independently verifying any output before relying on it for business decisions — for example, before sending an email, signing a contract, or taking any consequential action.

THE CONNECTOR IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE CONNECTOR WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT IT PROVIDES TO AN AI ASSISTANT WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

6. Limitation of liability #

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL 4DEGREES, INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE CONNECTOR — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ACTIONS YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY TAKE BASED ON OUTPUT GENERATED BY AN AI ASSISTANT WHILE THE CONNECTOR IS ACTIVE.

7. Suspension and termination #

We may suspend, throttle, or terminate connector access at any time if:

• You or your firm violates these Connector Terms or the master Terms;
• Your firm’s administrator disables the AI Connector feature in workspace settings;
• We detect abuse, security concerns, or activity that materially threatens the integrity of the service;
• Anthropic’s Claude Connector Directory, OpenAI’s ChatGPT App Directory, or their terms change in a way that makes continued operation impractical.

You may terminate at any time by disconnecting the connector from your AI assistant (Claude → Settings → Connectors → 4Degrees → Disconnect; ChatGPT → Apps → 4Degrees → Disconnect) or by revoking the access token from your 4Degrees account settings.

8. Changes to these terms #

We may update these Connector Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the connector after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
